Most Rev. Gabriel Edoe Kumordji, SVD, Bishop of the Keta-Akatsi Diocese marks 40th Anniversary of Priestly ministry together with his classmates, Most Rev. Emmanuel Kofi Fianu, at the Christ the King Cathedral, Akatsi.

Bishop Gabriel welcomed all from far and near, who have come to join them on this special occasion to thank God for His grace and love in their ministry these Forty (40) years.

In his homily, Most Rev. Anthony Naarh ASARE, the Auxiliary Archbishop of Accra Archdiocese, congratulated the jubilirians and wished them well in the years ahead.
He feels privileged to be the homilist, as the junior brother of the jubilarians.

Touching on the readings of the day, he reflects on the seasons of joy, hope and sacrifice, which he believed inspired the ministry of the 3 celebrants.

He is also touched by the encouragement he enjoyed in diverse ways from each of them.
Speaking strongly to the heart of the Priesthood, the readings from Isaiah remind us that our mission is shaped by God. Indeed, to the name of the Lord, be the glory. The priest, taken from among men, is a call not earned, but through the grace and choice of God. Jesus, giving us the image of the vine and the branches, directs and insists that the Priest, without Christ, the Christian without Christ can bear no fruits.

Four (4) decades of Priestly ministry has not been easy, but it brings to mind the deeper love of Christ. May the celebrants, like branches of the vine-Christ, continually bear fruits.

The jjoy of the priesthood has actually manifested in the life of these great men of the faith, they have inspired many lives, and continue to touch the faithful in their respective places of Pastoral works.

As we thank God for their lives and celebrate this milestone with them, we appreciate the grace of God through them.

CONGRATULATIONS to the great shepherd of the Keta-Akatsi Diocese, Most Rev. Gabriel Edoe Kumordji, SVD, and his classmates.
